Elena

“Someday, I will be proud of myself”

My name's Elena, but it's alright to address me any name that suits you. I'm a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and in the United States of America. Currently waiting for a miracle so I can finally work in the west. Being a couch potato and drowning myself in books are some of my likes while anything-pork and futile people are my dislikes.

I was so cranky when I got home because I was really tired and sleepy but then I remembered I had to finish our report for World Literature, which Rachelle already started, thankfully. Anyway, I'm done with it right now and I seriously yearn sleep.

Tomorrow is gonna be our last day at the actual area - which is Burn Unit - and I am half grateful that we (Donna, May-Anne, CJ(?), and moi) are the ones who are going to do the debridement because honestly, I've been avoiding that task since our first day of duty just because I don't feel like doing it. So since tomorrow's the last day, I tell myself that I should do it so that I can experience the pain and hardships of removing the dead tissues and whatsoever. Plus, I think our C.I. got irritated with the four of us because we were just lounging around the area, watching Showtime (thankful to the patient who turned the telly on), and ate our food extra-early even though we still had stocks of glucose.

Now my crankiness has gone. Thank God!
