Elena

“Someday, I will be proud of myself”

My name's Elena, but it's alright to address me any name that suits you. I'm a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and in the United States of America. Currently waiting for a miracle so I can finally work in the west. Being a couch potato and drowning myself in books are some of my likes while anything-pork and futile people are my dislikes.

First Week of School

Haven't written something for a while. New sem. New hardships. Let's do this!

First ever actual classes started today. The first three days of this week are for my duty. Ah, nothing thrilling happened, just meeting the coolest professors ever (in the tune of Ana Tan's best-uniform-ever from Why Nursing, Ana?). Nattt. I have 3 majors this sem, NCM 104 or Med-Surg 2, NCM 105 or  Psychiatric Nursing, and Nursing Research - baby thesis. We met with our MS professor this morning, and I feel like I'm obliged to tell you that "siya ang somera ng buhay ng isang estudyante". My first impression was this is it. Terror, perfect. Guess I'll make this my motivation to read and study more. And not just read, but understand the whole effin thing. Back in NCM 103, I seriously didn't have a decent reading/studying time because I knew in myself that I really wasn't absorbing the whole thing. Nothing follows - - -

And then there's our professor in Psychiatric Nursing, and he's a proud homo. He's the same rules with our prof in MS, the only difference is, s/he is friendlier and more humorous. And one good thing about him/her is that during quizzes, we have 3 papers in front of us -- 2 yellow pad paper and 1 carbon paper, and she made us take out the ink holder (if ever there's such) and we'd just write with the pen itself without the ink holder. (Oh my gosh my senetnce pattern, forgive me please HAHA) You probably get the picture, right? HAHA to lessen cheating. Oyeah! Anyway, brilliant that girlie! Also, we have this gigantic book. I'll post a photo when I have the opportunity. And worse? It's hard-bound. God Bless America!

For my prof in Nursing Reasearch, he was the same prof I had for Biostat. He is oh-kay! I just don't get why my blockmates have to laugh at how he pronounces certain words. Like, haven't you gotten used to it? Gadz, immature biatches. Jokeee! I was joking! But really, haven't you gotten used to it? Also, I'd rather understand what he has to say than laugh at how he says it.

All in all. Feeling already stressed and drained just from the orientation. But I want to be motivated! I want to be motivated that I won't be able to have time for my social networking sites anymore.

HAHA. I dream too much.

Ciao!
