Elena

“Someday, I will be proud of myself”

My name's Elena, but it's alright to address me any name that suits you. I'm a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and in the United States of America. Currently waiting for a miracle so I can finally work in the west. Being a couch potato and drowning myself in books are some of my likes while anything-pork and futile people are my dislikes.

Color Manila Run

I am so proud of myself and for telling you that I've incredibly --very much incredibly-- finished the run this morning at Bonifacio Global City. Although honestly, I've only done mostly walkathon. This experience was my first ever run so it was really hard for me and for my heart which is I think covered with fats. Chos! But seriously, I think my cardiac status is influenced with my fatness that's the reason for my frequent tiredness. It was like less than 5 minutes of jogging and then walked until I regain my strength then decide to jog again. My legs are still hurt from the run. Thankfully I've removed all the colors from my skin, which was very hard by the way. All in all, it was fun and tiring... But holding the medal, it sort of felt legit. Oh, and let's not forget the pre-run stuff we did which were highly contraindicated by Camille (HAHA) like smoking and taking in alcohol, and the less than 2 hours of sleep - very much helpful - NAT.

On another note, school starts tomorrow. As for me, duty starts tomorrow afternoon, my shift is 2-10 pm at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center. But what I'm most anxious with is the thought of what if my uniform doesn't fit me anymore, like how it didn't first semester of my 4th year life. Not only my uniform, but my scrub suits as well. Shit. I don't want to feel the need to buy a pair or two of it now that I'm not gonna use it any longer. -_-
